With passionate belief in the nontraditional “do-it-yourself” approach to sharing music and art, Dakota is excited to be sharing his skills with the youth at the Hope Center for the Arts. After graduating from UMass Amherst with a BA in Jazz Electric Bass Performance, Dakota has established himself on stages both locally and internationally as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and electronic music producer. Aside from working professionally as a bassist from pit orchestras to recording sessions and everything in between, Dakota is best known for his meticulously crafted solo electronic music project Dialog Talk and for his contributions in the bands Hauzu and Made Manifest.
Dakota hopes that in teaching young artists how to use digital audio workstations he can inspire a passion within them to chase an artistic dream and carve out unconventional paths through life that would otherwise be discouraged or unavailable in more traditional spheres.
