HOPE Center for the Arts offers comprehensive year-round programming designed to meet students where they are and provide pathways for artistic and professional growth. Our multifaceted approach includes:
Summer Programs
HOPE Center for the Arts offers a free, four-week summer program for youth to train in professional creative disciplines. Students work with teaching artists, use industry-standard tools, and complete real projects in a collaborative studio environment. Classes meet five days a week. Students choose from areas including music, film, design, theater, dance, and technical arts. Each class is hands-on and team-based. Students create original work, learn to use professional equipment, and support each other across disciplines. The program also includes a nationally acclaimed reading intervention that helps students improve their reading level by a full grade in just a few weeks. This is available to any student who chooses to participate.
After-School Programs
During the school year, middle and high school students participate in ongoing classes across performing arts, technical arts, and visual arts, building skills while collaborating on interdisciplinary projects and showcasing their work in weekly Community Spotlights.
Workshops & Masterclasses
Throughout the year, visiting professional artists and industry experts conduct specialized workshops, giving students exposure to diverse techniques, career paths, and creative approaches.
Internships & Advanced Training
Youth who demonstrate interest and commitment can continue on to advanced training and paid apprenticeships through our partnerships with other institutions, including De la Luz Technical Arts Institute.
